NOTES: Ernest was the son of David and Ellen Fenwick of England and his wife was Margaret J Fenwick. His son David Campbell FENWICK 22216 enlisted with the RAAF during the Second World War. On Tuesday 21st October 2025, the Stanthorpe RSL Sub Branch held a dedication service at the former unmarked grave of Ernest Stewart Fenwick. This was carried out as part of the Stanthorpe Sub Branch Unmarked Graves Project. Six other veterans who are buried in the Stanthorpe Cemetery also honoured with headstones on their unmarked graves on the day. They were Arthur Francis BENTLEY 19952, Cecil Hamilton BOSTON Q103114, William Donald FRASER Q147822, William Oswald McCARTHY 2198, Albert Edward PARKES 220 and Albert Francis THOMPSON Q128949.
