ROBERTS, Dr Alfred John Spencer Cecil
Dr Spencer ROBERTS as he was known, arrived in Stanthorpe to set up practice in 1916 with his first wife Sybil Zouch Ross. Dr Roberts treated soldiers at the sanatorium and was an active member of the local Stanthorpe society. He was elected Chairman of the Stanthorpe Q.A.T.B. in February 1917.
His wife Sybil died on the 6th January 1920. He remarried in 1922 to his second wife Laura Heness. They departed Stanthorpe and moved to Toowoomba in 1925.
Dr Roberts died on 19th February 1939 and is buried in the Drayton & Toowoomba Cemetry, Queensland.
